Upcoming Album of the Week (Ending July 7, 2018)

We were in Montréal recently, and managed to catch a bit of the their jazz festival. The event is a massive yearly music festival where most of the shows are free. We got to see a number of amazing acts, including !!!, who put on incredible live show!

If they happen to release a recording of their show, check it out at my Upcoming Releases page!

This week, French musician Christine and the Queens announced their sophomore album, Chris.

Christine and the Queens is fronted by Héloïse Letissier, who got her start in 2010 working with a backing band of drag queens, hence "the Queens". She released her debut album, Chaleur humaine, in 2014.

The first single from the new album, the Dâm-Funk featuring "Girlfriend", was released in mid-May in both English and French ("Dam, dis-moi"). The album containing that single was announced on July 5.
