Upcoming Album of the Week (Ending August 18, 2018)

Recently, Mountain Man, announced their sophomore album, Magic Ship.

goseelivemusic.com

Mountain Man is a folk trio made up of Amelia Meath, Molly Sarle, and Alexandra Sauser-Monnig who formed in 2009. They released their first album, Made the Harbor, the next year. While it's been a good while since that first album, they've been far from quiet. In 2011, they toured with Feist, providing backing vocals, and Meath has an additional project, Sylvan Esso, which released albums in 2014 and 2017.

They announced their return as a trio on August 9 with a trio of new songs.

Magic Ship is set to be released on September 21.

Upcoming Album of the Week (Ending August 4, 2018)

Be sure to check out a list of albums that I'm excited about over at my Upcoming Releases page!

Recently, Yoko Ono announced her 16th album, Warzone.

yokoonowarzone.com

Ono, as we all should know, has had a long career. She released her first album, Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band, in 1970, though she really got her start years earlier as a conceptual and performance artist. She has hardly stepped away from that aspect of her career, most recently debuting a permanent art installation, Skylanding, in Chicago just two years ago.

That's more recent than her last album, 2013's Take Me to the Land of Hell. Her latest sees her reworking tracks from previous releases. She announced the album and released its title track on July 24.

Warzone is set to be released on October 19.
