He tries to isolate himself from the couple as much as possible and hides away at a local waterpark. While there, he befriends the park's manager, Owen (Sam Rockwell) and begins to take on odd jobs around the park. With the help of Owen and other park employees, he becomes more comfortable in his skin, more assertive and more confident. His new-found confidence helps him to get the attention of the cute girl next door and to finally stand up to his mother's boyfriend. |
