Wise contributed vocals to each of Kendrick Lamar's last three albums, untitled unmastered, To Pimp a Butterfly, and Good Kid, m.A.A.d city. As the female vocalist on "These Walls," she earned herself a Grammy.
She has also built a nice career for herself away from the rapper as a member of the band Sonnymoon, who released their third album, The Courage of Present Times, last year (on the same day that Kendrick released To Pimp a Butterfly!)
Now, she breaking out on her own. She announced her EP and released a music video for the track "Precious Possession" on Tuesday. The EP is set to be released on April 27.
