Upcoming Album of the Week (Ending April 9)

Being on vacation makes it difficult to keep up with my blogging duties, but I'm doing my best to keep things going as I have time. My Upcoming Releases page is up to date, so head on over to see what's set to come out over the coming months!

This week, frequent Kendrick Lamar collaborator, Anna Wise, announced her debut EP, The Feminine: Act 1.

Wise contributed vocals to each of Kendrick Lamar's last three albums, untitled unmastered, To Pimp a Butterfly, and Good Kid, m.A.A.d city. As the female vocalist on "These Walls," she earned herself a Grammy.

She has also built a nice career for herself away from the rapper as a member of the band Sonnymoon, who released their third album, The Courage of Present Times, last year (on the same day that Kendrick released To Pimp a Butterfly!)

Now, she breaking out on her own. She announced her EP and released a music video for the track "Precious Possession" on Tuesday. The EP is set to be released on April 27.
