R.I.P., Phil Ramone

On March 30 of this year, producer extraordinaire Phil Ramone passed away at the age of 79.

Ramone had a long career in the music business, starting in 1959, when he established the A&R Recording label. He went on to produce records for a number of prominent musicians almost right until the end of his life. He has produced recordings by Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin, among many others.
