Upcoming Album of the Week (Ending October 15)

Leonard Cohen saddened fans this week by acknowledging the inevitability of his own death. Thankfully, he reversed course just a few days later and said that he would live forever (that's much better)! He has a new album coming next week, and based on the songs I've heard from it, I sure do hope that it's not his last. Check out that new record, and many other great ones to come, over at my Upcoming Releases page!

This week, Common announced a new album, Black America Again.

It's been only two years since Common's previous record, Nobody's Smiling, but he's also kept himself busy with other ventures. He has continued his acting career with roles in Selma and Suicide Squad and started his own production company.

He announced his eleventh album yesterday. The album will have feature appearances from Bilal, Robert Glasper, and Stevie Wonder. Previously, he released "LoveStar," and put out the album's title track just a couple of weeks ago.

Black America Again is set to be released on November 4.

Also announced this week:

Bleed for This (Original Soundtrack Album) (November 25)
Cloud Nothings - Life Without Sounds (January 27)
The Duke Spirit - Serenade EP (out now)
Male Bonding - Headache (out now)
PC Music - Volume 2 (November 18)
Shock Machine - Shock Machine (February 17)
