Upcoming Album of the Week (Ending November 14)

It's getting colder out there, so warm up with a nice blanket, a cup of cocoa, and my Upcoming Releases page!

It's nearing the end of the year and soon we'll be looking back on 2015 with who released the best material of the year. Many bands are still looking forward and letting us know what will be coming in 2016. This week, Minneapolis-founded band Poliça announced their third album, United Crushers.

I've been listening to the band almost since the beginning, 2012's Give You the Ghost. They followed that up the next year with Shulamith, an album that I slept on for a while before getting really into last year. They have a synthy R&B- and pop-twinged sound that reminds me of Chvrches, but slowed down. Channy's wonderful vocals have even become a favorite of my boyfriend, who, let's just say, doesn't get into new music the way that I do.

Their third album will be released on March 4!
