Essential Full-Length Releases
Norah Jones - Day Breaks Norah Jones started her career making piano-driven jazz, but began exploring pop and folk on recent albums. Her sixth album sees her returning to the style that earned her early fame. The record is made up mostly of original tracks with a handful of covers. Watch: "Carry On" Watch: "Flipside" |
Phantogram - Three Phantogram are one of the bands central to a recent resurgence of synth-heavy indie pop. With each album, their sounds has veered more in the direction of conventional pop (at least pop as it exists today). While this is certainly their most mainstream-friendly album, they also come off as more self-assured on this record. Watch: "You Don't Get Me High Anymore" Watch: "You’re Mine" |
